| Requirement: Led front end and back end troubleshooting activities including programming support in server side languages such as Java and PHP. | Details: Administrating ten sites for Valenite, I am solely responsible for all content to function, programming mainly in html with some Java and PHP. This includes coding and programming from table elements and page content to document coding for optimum search engine placement by title, description and meta tagging. This requires deep and broad knowledge to be used quickly in matters of troubleshooting. |
| Requirement: Interactive design experience. | Details: Used with web site layout and navigation with the objective of efficiency with universal corporate aesthetic. Used with Flash demos I create for the websites constructed as clickable portals into web pages with more information. Creating banners that are interactive and embedding into pages to navigate to other pages or sites. |
| Requirement: User experience and content process flows. | Details: I am constantly working with other team members and departments to implement the most efficient sites for ease and the least amount of effort required by the user. This work is perpetual due to constant updates and new ideas for improvement towards organizing and navigation in our websites. Our sites are not for our customers and distributors alone but widely used internally. This is an advantage in experiencing what makes the most sense as a user and applying improvements for an optimum experience in the site. |
| Requirement: Ability to develop websites that work across multiple browsers and platforms. | Details: Although one of our sites is from a PHP server, construction of pages from within PHP do not have consistency in different browsers/platforms. I create and construct the pages in Dreamweaver and import them into the PHP server. This results in a consistent layout of the site's composition in all browsers and platforms. Programming page elements and tables for our company's sites within Lotus/Domino kits to have locked composition and layout within different media. |
| Requirement: Experience with mentoring web designers and non technical team members. | Details: I am often advising and instructing my supervisor who is head of corporate communications and other team members with web page elements, tables, links, etc. They often come to me for help. I also correct their mistakes in this area and explain to them what was done incorrectly. Our IT people work with a lot of sites and different kits. The sites I work on with Lotus/Domino kits have not required their efforts since I began working on them. In many instances, I am in a position to reacquaint our IT people with functionality of the kits and the databases I have been working with. |
| Requirement: Maintain and enhance database, portal applications, CMS publishing tools, and other web development tools in conjunction with IT and other teams. | Details: I administrate databases of nine different website kits in Lotus/Domino. This includes the layout and functionality of portals in the sites. I am constantly changing and updating these to maintain more efficient, consolidated/user friendly and easy to navigate websites. Much of the layout of our sites is done by programming and organizing the hierarchy of portals and folders in the administrative settings area of our databases. This is widely done receiving efforts from other departments with their expertise in regards to what is most useful to their customers or distributors and how I can implement that in our sites. I also do this with our tenth site from our PHP server. |
